The Lancaster Central School District is searching for an enthusiastic individual to serve our District as a certified Science teacher.  We are interested in a candidate that is dedicated and willing to commit, wholeheartedly, to working with our students. We are seeking an outstanding, innovative teacher who will work collaboratively with our administration, faculty and staff and will be an integral part of the Science team.

Core Responsibilities:

~Create and deliver lessons grounded in researched best practice, current formative data and specially designed instruction.

~Individualize learning experiences, as appropriate, create flexible grouping for learning experience. Observe and evaluate students’  performance in meeting grade-level standards.

~Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans, making learning targets clear with students for each lesson as appropriate.

~Manage student behavior in the classroom with appropriate disciplinary techniques.

~Meet course, grade level and district performance goals.

~Create a positive educational environment for students to learn, grow and promote success for students of all abilities.

~Utilize curriculum that reflects the diversity of educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students being served.

~Participate in ongoing professional development and read to stay abreast of current topics in education. 

~Work collaboratively with administrators, department chairs and colleagues to create a positive work environment that promotes student achievement.

~Develop and utilize various curriculum resources and participate in curriculum writing/modification sessions.

$165.00 - $245.00 per day
Library Media Specialist 26/27 SY (Probationary)

Overview:
The Lancaster Central School District is searching for an innovative, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to serve our District as a Library Media Specialist. We are interested in a candidate who has the ability to work with students while effectively collaborating with the administration, faculty and staff towards the improvement of our instructional programming.

*Step 1 MA - $55,300 through Step 8 MA - $58,750 (25/26 rate) or as per LCTA Contract

School Psychologist Long Term Sub(s) Position 8.18.26

Approximate dates: 9/1/26 - 10/1/2026 and 12/1/26 - TBD

Wide Range of Responsibilities, such as:

• Administering psychological tests and interpreting assessment results for the purpose of diagnosis and placement
• Providing individual and group counseling and other mental health services as appropriate • Participating in interdisciplinary team and IEP meetings • Assisting in the implementation of an RTI model of supports
• Assisting in planning programs that meet the special needs of the students
• Working with children and youth who have a variety of disabilities
• Acting as a liaison with community agencies that provide services to children • Attending departmental meetings and continuing professional development programs
• Serving on departmental and/or system committees
• Providing consultation to teachers, parents and school staff
• Developing programs and workshops
• Helping to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
• Assisting students, families and schools dealing with crisis
• Helping to develop school-wide initiatives to make schools safer and create a more supportive environment
 
*If/when the teacher goes to a without-pay status, the sub will become an interim sub and will be paid per LCTA agreement as applicable, i.e. step 1 master’s degree = $55,300 prorated - step 8 masters' level = $58,750 prorated with full benefits.* 2025/26 rates

Interim Substitutes – All Teaching Areas (2026–2027 School Year)

This is a blanket posting to cover any leaves of absence during the 2026–2027 school year.

If/when the teacher goes to a without-pay status, the sub will become an interim sub and will be paid per LCTA agreement as applicable, i.e. step 1 master’s degree = $55,300 prorated - step 8 masters' level = $58,750 prorated with full benefits. *25/26 LCTA rates

Substitute Teachers 2026-2027 School Year

The Lancaster Central School District is looking for substitute teachers for all grade levels across our seven schools.  A Bachelor's degree is required.

Regular subs are compensated at the rate of $165.00 per day.

Building-based subs are compensated at the rate of $190.00 per day.

Substitute Food Service Helper 2026/2027 School Year

Assists in the preparation and serving of food, cleans kitchen equipment, and performs related duties as required.

$16.90 per hour
Substitute Registered Professional Nurse 2026-2027 School Year

Provides assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management, and/or referrals related to the health and medical care needs of students. The goal is to minimize absences due to illness, maximize educational opportunities, and contribute to a healthy school climate. Performs other related duties as assigned.

$28.00 per hour
Substitute Teacher Aides 2026/2027 School Year

Supervises students and performs such other services as support teaching duties when such services are determined and supervised by teachers, may supervise students in workplace settings and assist with job skills development.

$17.20 per hour
