The NY HELPS (Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Program Statewide) is a New York State program that allows civil service agencies to hire qualified employees quickly without requiring a competitive civil service examination. It was created to help agencies fill critical vacancies by streamlining the appointment process; however, candidates must still meet all minimum qualifications for the position.

 

The work involves responsibility for performing a variety of clerical tasks within the school. Work is performed using independent judgment with the application of established procedures.
