Music Teacher (Orchestra) Long-Term Sub

Overview:

The Lancaster Central School District is searching for an enthusiastic individual to serve our District in the music department. We are looking for a high school orchestra teacher (long-term sub). We are interested in a candidate that is dedicated and willing to commit wholeheartedly to working with our young musicians. We are seeking an outstanding, innovative teacher who will work collaboratively with our administration, faculty and music staff and someone who will be an integral part of our instrumental music team. We need an individual that will continue the high standards and success of our award-winning music program and to help us grow the vision shared by everyone in Lancaster...one of the top communities in America for Music Education.

Tentative Assignment Dates:

   January 4, 2027 through April 11, 2027

If/when the teacher goes to a without-pay status, the sub will become an interim sub and will be paid per LCTA agreement as applicable, i.e. step 1 master’s degree = $55,300* prorated - step 8 masters' level = $58,750* prorated with full benefits.  Prior to the teacher going without pay, the sub will be paid per the Lancaster Association of Substitute Teachers agreement.

*Rates listed are 2025/26 rates, contract under negotiation for the 2026/27 school year.
