SPECIAL NOTES:
• Summer school July 6 – August 6 (subject to change)
• Curriculum Work: July 6 - 9 (Mon – Thurs)
• First Student Day: July 13
• Instructional day: 8:00 am-12:00 pm (Monday – Thursday)
• Principal is responsible for start-up and closing duties before and after scheduled summer school.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:Responsible for the design (including curricula and master schedule development), implementation, and supervision of (including hiring personnel) of the Lancaster Middle School summer program. This program addresses student need in the curricular areas of
ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. The program design is integrated and differentiated, with hands-on experiences and real-life problem solving. The program design would be collaboratively developed with teachers with an emphasis on project- based learning.
- Job Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATION:
Candidates, at a minimum, must have certification as a teacher. Candidates may also be in pursuit of certification as a School Building Leader, School District Administrator or as a School Administrator/Supervisor.
