Wide Range of Responsibilities, such as:
• Administering psychological tests and interpreting assessment results for the purpose of diagnosis and placement
• Providing individual and group counseling and other mental health services as appropriate • Participating in interdisciplinary team and IEP meetings • Assisting in the implementation of an RTI model of supports
• Assisting in planning programs that meet the special needs of the students
• Working with children and youth who have a variety of disabilities
• Acting as a liaison with community agencies that provide services to children • Attending departmental meetings and continuing professional development programs
• Serving on departmental and/or system committees
• Providing consultation to teachers, parents and school staff
• Developing programs and workshops
• Helping to develop Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
• Assisting students, families and schools dealing with crisis
• Helping to develop school-wide initiatives to make schools safer and create a more supportive environment
