The Lancaster Central School District is seeking an energetic and innovative self-starter who can learn independently as well as functioning in a team setting. The candidate must have a willingness to learn and be able to share information while keeping apprised of updates in technology currently implemented in the District and technologies that may be beneficial. Ability to plan projects, direct co-workers and streamline processes are required.
     
    The successful candidate must demonstrate the following:
     
    •Responsible for the design, installation, implementation, support and/or maintenance of infrastructure hardware and vendor supplied software for Information Services network operations
    •Must act as a team leader and supervise a small team of technical support staff when required
    •Must have a strong working knowledge of current cybersecurity guidelines and practices
    •Must have a strong working knowledge of client/server networks and basic networking concepts, including ~
    •Must have experience with client versions of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Windows Server and Microsoft Active Directory
    •Must have experience with virtual computing environments, VLAN's and operations, preferably KVM based
    •Must have experience with Apple mobile operating systems
    •Must be able to review, assign and address Help Desk tickets and professionally assist end users in solving issues
    •Must have basic knowledge of Mobile Device Management concepts as well as iPadOS deployment via Apple Configurator. Experience with JAMF MDM solution is preferred
    •Must have experience with management and support of Google Workspace
    •Must have experience with spreadsheet applications, data importing, exporting and manipulation
    •Must have experience with Microsoft Intune and SCCM, and other Microsoft content delivery solutions
    •Must have basic command line knowledge with Powershell and some experience using Linux
•Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited or NYS-registered four-year college or university, plus two years of experience in computer programming, including at least one year in programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software; OR
    •Associate’s degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, plus four years of data processing experience (two years in programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software); OR
    •High school diploma or equivalent, plus six years of data processing experience (including two years of computer programming and at least one year in programming and/or maintenance of vendor-supplied operating software); OR
    •An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined above.
    Additional requirements:
    •Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be prorated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
    •Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.
