Qualifications:
Certification or extensive training in evidence-based reading interventions (e.g.,UFLI, Heggerty, Orton-Gillingham, LETRS, or similar).
Demonstrated knowledge and application of the Science of Reading principles, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and skills which support comprehension.
Experience with diagnostic literacy assessments, including but not limited to
Core phonics Assessment
Fastbridge
Heggerty
RAN
Reading inventories and miscue analysis
Ability to analyze assessment data to identify skill gaps, determine appropriate interventions, and monitor student progress over time.
Knowledge of and ability to implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for literacy.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, intervention teams, and families.
Ability to deliver small group and individualized instruction that is aligned with state standards and responsive to student needs.
Commitment to ongoing professional learning in the field of literacy instruction and intervention.
