Overview:
The Lancaster Central School District is seeking an innovative, enthusiastic, and hardworking individual to join our team as a Business teacher at Lancaster High School. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively with students and collaborate with administration, faculty, and staff to enhance our instructional programming.
Core Responsibilities:
Create and deliver lessons based on researched best practices, current formative data, and specially designed instruction.
Individualize learning experiences as appropriate and create flexible grouping for learning activities. Observe and evaluate students' performance in meeting grade-level standards.
Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans, making learning targets clear to students for each lesson as appropriate.
Manage student behavior in the classroom using appropriate disciplinary techniques.
Meet course, grade-level, and district performance goals.
Create a positive educational environment for students to learn, grow, and promote success for students of all abilities.
Utilize curriculum that reflects the diversity of educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served.
Participate in ongoing professional development and stay updated on current topics in education.
Collaborate with administrators, department chairs, and colleagues to promote a positive work environment and student achievement.
Develop and utilize various curriculum resources and participate in curriculum writing and modification sessions.
